She focuses on making every dessert delicious and beautiful. Traditional recipes are her favorite, though she still constantly experiments with different flavors and ingredients. She aspires to continue baking, and go to University of Houston to earn a business degree. Bettie has always been an original person who loves creating. She paints, uses charcoals, watercolor and any other medium she can get her hands on. She has made scrapbooks, sculptures, and asked for a sewing machine at about age nine. She continues to utilize all these skills, but something special happened when she started baking. Her Aunt Martha’s famous carrot cake was one of the 1st things she baked, and has found a true passion for creating yummy desserts with vintage recipes. She refuses to take shortcuts and does things with care and professionalism.
